Sweet and Sour Chicken By Bridget

Hey! It's Bridget, the middle child. The other day I wanted to make sweet and sour chicken, it actually turned out pretty dang good. This isn't my pic, but it is the closest to what mine ended up looking like. I made fried rice and egg rolls with it. Too bad I didn't make those from scratch.
What you need:
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 green bell pepper
2 cups chopped carrots
Tempora Batter
2 Eggs
3/4 cup white sugar
1/3 cup white vinegar
2/3 cup water
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon ketchup
2 tablespoons cornstarch
Mix all together and bring to boil, stir until it thickens.

Cube chicken bake.
Heat oil medium heat.
Dip each piece of cubed chicken and chopped carrots into egg and then tempora batter. Then place into oil for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
I then drained it into a calinder and brown paper bags.
While you are making the chicken:

Sautee green peppers and onions.
Through green peppers, onions, chicken and carrots into a large bowl and mix with sweet and sour sauce.

  1. Well Budget, you are cooking! now if that 4 bird rule is for real, you could really start this from scratch. Good idea for chicken, mine too often just gets thrown in the oven because I have no imagination.
