This is a basic hummus recipe that I bussed up with the food processor. It is great on crackers, or to dip veggies in. I dipped carrot sticks in mine. Depending on the consistency desired, by the eater, you may add a little less or more liquid. I imagine recipe could also be the base for many great creative hummus recipes.....adding sun dried tomatoes, green olives, ect.....
2 1/2 cups garbanzo beans/chickpeas. I prepared dried ones, but you could also use canned
Juice of one fresh squeezed lemon
3 tablespoons chunky peanut butter
4 cloves of garlic
2 1/2 tbl olive oil
1 tsp sea salt
Blend Garlic in food processor till grated fine. Add all other ingredients to food processor and blend until desired consistency. If it is too thick, either add more olive oil, or for a lighter hummus, add water rather than extra oil. When adding liquid, add by the tablespoon.
